Oshen’s Essentials was established in 2019, just over a year ago. After our family became full fledge vegans mid-2019, we found it challenging to eat out, as there were hardly any healthy products available to vegans. We were lovers of ice cream and other treats, and after the change, we were challenged with eating out. We have visited serval restaurants, and many times, we were able to try the entrée, but never could we try the deserts. Dissatisfied, we decided to do something about it. Oshen's Essentials was formed with one goal: to distribute fresh, tasty, and healthy food products to the Nation of Antigua and Barbuda.
Being a vegan does not mean eating tasteless foods and deserts. At Oshen’s essentials, we have developed many products geared towards health, but they are tasty at the same time. All our products are made with a healthy you in mind. Lifestyle diseases, including heart disease, stroke, obesity, and type 2 diabetes are on the rise in our nation, and being vegans has made us realize that many can be cured with the right diet. We believe that we can all work together to end many lifestyle diseases in our nation. One way to do this is through nutrition.
Nutrients provide nourishment. Proteins, carbohydrates, fat, vitamins, minerals, fiber, and water are all nutrients. When people do not have the right balance of nutrients in their diet, their risk of developing certain health conditions increases, on the flip side, if we eat fruits and vegetables in the right proportion, they will boost our immunity because of the abundance of micronutrients. All of our products are made from high anti-oxidant fruits and vegetables and cater to gluten-free, vegetarian, lactose intolerant, diabetic, and suffer from certain lifestyle illnesses. All our products are made to be tasty, but mostly healthy. We carry Vegan N’Ice Cream, Vegan Popsicles, Vegan Cheese Alternative, and a power Flu Defense supplement.
